In a heartwarming gesture, the 36-year-old surprised superfan Danielle Bonham, a familiar face from a Broomall fast-food restaurant where she has served him multiple times in the past year. As reported by FOX 29 News Philadelphia, Kelce, while sitting in his car at the drive-thru window, posed for a photo with Bonham holding a jersey. The shirt, adorned with his name and No 62, featured a personalized message from the Super Bowl winner: ‘To Danielle, Go Birds! Thank you!’

Kelce, visibly moved, seemed to confirm his departure from the NFL after Tampa Bay shattered the Eagles’ Super Bowl aspirations with a convincing 32-9 victory in the Wild Card round.

On his New Heights podcast, shared with his brother Travis, Kelce broke his silence, addressing the reports of his retirement. He emphasized that he intentionally withheld any official announcement after the game, stating, ‘I didn’t announce what I was doing on purpose—despite what’s been leaked to the media.’

Kelce expressed the complexity of making such a decision immediately after a game, saying, ‘I just don’t think you’re in a position, after a game like that, to really make that decision. There’s too much emotion in the moment, there’s too much going down in the moment to really fully grasp that decision.’

Acknowledging the future, he reassured that any official announcement would be made in a definitive manner, showing respect to those who have played significant roles in his career. Kelce acknowledged the frustration surrounding the situation but emphasized that the timing for such an announcement needs to be considerate and reflective.
