Biden Union address live: US President set to address joint Congress session for the last time before elections

First Lady Jill Biden has extended an invitation to Kate Cox, a mother of two who took legal action against the state of Texas in 2023, advocating for the right to terminate her pregnancy.

In a similar vein, Democratic Senator Tim Kaine has sent an invitation to Elizabeth Carr, the first individual born through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) in the United States.

House Speaker Mike Johnson has invited the parents of Wall Street Journal writer Evan Gershkovich. Gershkovich was detained in Russia on March 29 on charges of espionage.

Furthermore, invitations have been extended to the relatives of U.S. citizens killed or captured by Hamas after the October 7 attack.

Speaker Johnson has also invited Zunxu Tian and Ben Kurian, the two New York policemen who bravely confronted a mob outside a migrant shelter in Times Square.
